I am so sorry I have not written in a while. I have been so busy with graduation. I graduated on the 21st of May.
My family has set up a webpage so that anybody can help us raise the money for us to be able to bring Alex home. The website is http://www.SupportOurGroup.com/ZF1076.
It does not matter how much you donate. Every penny we get will help us to raise the money. I would really appreciate it if you would spread the word about the fundraiser. I want to thank you for helping us raise the money so that we will be able to support Alex. This means a lot to my family. Africa
Ok I have not seen this video until now. I have felt like God has called me to go to Africa for a long time. I have never been to Africa. There have been many trips through my church for me to go, but there has always been something else that I have had to do during the times the church has gones I was planning on going this summer, but it has not worked out. Yes God will provide. When I am suppose to go He will get me there. I know I am going to have to give up a lot. I can tell you now that I am not spiritually or emotionally prepared to go to Africa yet. I will probably never be prepared to see what I will see when I go. When I surrendered my life to missions, Africa was on my mind. I know that I know I will go to Africa at some point. I have no idea when that will be, but it will happen. God is in control. God has a reason for everything. God has a plan for me.

Christine- Yes I am getting an amazing little brother.
Debbie- Yes I am ready to have 3 little brothers. I am so excited!! It really doesn't matter that he is taller than me because both of my brothers are taller than me. :( I am short. haha
I am back at my house now. Ashley did a great job cooking last night. It was really good. We made some good peanut butter cookies. We are trying to think of some different fundraisers that we can do. If you think of any ideas please let us know.
Tomorrow is my best friend Barbara's birthday. We are going to go babysit for a friend around 7. After we get done babysitting we are going to go bowling. Tonight is going to be night full of surprises.
I do not know why I am writing this. God has a reason for me to post this. Whoever this is for please listen to what God has to say. Please always remember that God will provide. It does not matter how big or how small. Nothing is impossible with God. All you have to do is ask Him and you will recieve. Let God be in control of your life. I know a lot of us are struggling with the adoptions. It will happen if it is God's will. If you know that you know it is God's will then it will happen no matter what comes our way. Do not give up. Yes the devil is attacking most of us but we have to stand up. The devil would love to mess things up. Please do not let him destroy you. Take those thoughts captive. I have always remembered this. A thought is like a plane. They circle arount the airport and land when they tell them to. Those planes are circling around your runway. Do not let those planes land on you runway. Please do not miss this. God has a reason for everything.
God loves you more than you can imagine.

My family!!
I am sitting at Ashley's house. She is cooking an amazing meal!! Ashley and I are like sisters.
Ok I am so sorry I have not told you about my family. I have two brothers. Mark is 13 years old. He is the youngest in the family. Anthony is 15. He is the second oldest. I am the oldest child in my family. My dad's name is Vernon. My mom's name is Vicky. She is in the pictures with Ashley and me. There is a picture of my mom and Alex. They look a lot a like. Alex looks more like my mom than any of her biological children. It is amazing how a boy from a different country looks so much like my mom.
Alex is 12 years old. He is so tall. He is taller than both my parents. He is always laughing and smiling. He is always joking around. My family is not serious at all. He will fit right in. While we were in Ukraine he was always picking on me like my brothers do. He would pull my pony tail holder out of my hair. We were playing a card game and he would be looking at my cards. We played go fish and he would not give me the card I asked for. We played Old Maid and I had to pick a card out of his hand and he would not let me pick a card. He would pull it back or he would hold it tight so I could not get it. He was our translator at Lela's house with the other boys there. In a letter my mom said that if he would learn English than we would learn Russian. He knew more English than we thought he would. He knew more than the other boys that stayed with us.

My story
Ashley- Yes I am glad we are adopting Alex. I love him so much!! Yes we have to stand up for these kids. I left a piece of my heart with those kids too. I know what you mean.
Pam - I am going to explain everything in this post.
Debbie - My seat belt has been buckled up!! God is in control of this. Yes it is hard, but it will happen. I believe God is going to turn some people around and set them straight. He has already started on me.
Ok here is the story about our adoption. We have been writing Alex for 3 years. We tried to adopt Alex last year. They rejected our papers because a doctor signed in the wrong place or something like that. Then some personal things happened within my family and we had to cancel the adoption. It was very hard for us. When we went to Ukraine with Ashley God opened up our eyes. We are supposed to adopt Alex. It was not the right timing last year. I am not going to let anything get in the way of getting my brother. I love him so much.
While we were in Ukraine the boy Alex put on my jacket and said that he was me the girl Alex. My mom said that means you will be going to America with her if he was the girl Alex. After that we asked him if he wanted to go to America and He said YES!!! I do not care how much we will have to do to get him. I am going to bring him home no matter what.
God is already working in so many different ways. I talk to Ashley Fumia every day. Everytime she starts doubting God shows her that it will happen. We just have to trust God with anything and everything.

Hey
My name is Alex. I went to Ukraine over springbreak with my mom and Ashley Fumia. We have been writing a boy in Orphanage # 4 for around three years. We are in the process of adopting him. I will be doing fundraisers to raise money for the adoption.
When I went to Ukraine, God changed the way I look at things. In America we do not realize how good we got it. Yes we do have problems in America but the goverment in Ukraine does not care about the orphans. There are kids living on the streets. When they turn seventeen they are kicked out of the internot. They do not know how to do much because they do not have a good education. They have never worked before.
My favorite bible verse is James 1:27. In James chapter 1:22-25 it says to do what the bible says. If anyone listens to the bible but does not do what it says then it is like a man who look at himself in the mirror and forgets what he looks like. In James 1:27 it says to take care of orphans and widows. This is what God has said for us to do. When are we going to step up and do what we are supposed to? In Proverbs 31:8 it says to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. The kids in these internots do not have a voice. They are put in the internot. God has given me a boldness to stand up and speak up for these kids. I hope you will do what God has commanded and join me in praying and standing up for those who can not speak up for themselves and taking care of orphans and widows.
