Ashley- Yes I am glad we are adopting Alex. I love him so much!! Yes we have to stand up for these kids. I left a piece of my heart with those kids too. I know what you mean.

Debbie - My seat belt has been buckled up!! God is in control of this. Yes it is hard, but it will happen. I believe God is going to turn some people around and set them straight. He has already started on me.
Ok here is the story about our adoption. We have been writing Alex for 3 years. We tried to adopt Alex last year. They rejected our papers because a doctor signed in the wrong place or something like that. Then some personal things happened within my family and we had to cancel the adoption. It was very hard for us. When we went to Ukraine with Ashley God opened up our eyes. We are supposed to adopt Alex. It was not the right timing last year. I am not going to let anything get in the way of getting my brother. I love him so much.
While we were in Ukraine the boy Alex put on my jacket and said that he was me the girl Alex. My mom said that means you will be going to America with her if he was the girl Alex. After that we asked him if he wanted to go to America and He said YES!!! I do not care how much we will have to do to get him. I am going to bring him home no matter what.
God is already working in so many different ways. I talk to Ashley Fumia every day. Everytime she starts doubting God shows her that it will happen. We just have to trust God with anything and everything.
Sorry I have not written anything lately. I just started this and I am not used to this. I will write more later.

Alex, thank you for sharing your heart and what God is teaching you. I am excited that you're working to bring Alex home. It's neat that you've been writing to Alex for a few years, too, and now God is moving you forward in the adoption process. I have been writing to "Elaine" for a few months, and we are so excited about hosting her this summer. We are praying that God will work out all the details. He has led us to her, and He will provide! I think He just wants Christian families to gather up those kids and love them. We're praying!

I am so glad that you have found Elaine. God is going to do so many things in your life. Don't miss out on God's blessing. Make sure you are obeying God. Don't argue. Trust me He will win. But you can still miss out on what God wants to do.
